Founded in 2014, the Azraq Education Center is our flagship education and enrichment program in South Azraq, Jordan, providing learning opportunities for Syrian refugees and vulnerable local youth in a rural community that has hosted refugees for more than a decade.

During its first ten years, the Center focused on helping Syrian refugee students and vulnerable Jordanian youth bridge gaps in their education, catch up to their appropriate grade level, and develop the confidence and love of learning needed to continue their education through high school and beyond.

Ten years later, the need remains. South Azraq continues to face limited educational and enrichment opportunities, particularly for children and young people. The Center has evolved into a space for the whole family—where children can learn, explore their interests, develop practical skills, and build the confidence and independence to shape their own futures.

Today, the Center serves more than 300 students ages 5–17, offering learning and enrichment across language, digital skills, reading, sports, arts, and sustainable agriculture and hydroponics. These programs complement traditional academics while giving children opportunities to discover their strengths, develop practical skills, and learn beyond the classroom.
